My landscape oil paintings are representational and semi-abstract paintings of wide vistas and dramatic skies. At the same time, my figurative works are sensitive, detailed studies focusing on a more classical painting style.
The semi-abstract landscapes capture nature's atmosphere and drama with its seasons and wide-open vistas, often with large, deep skies. My figurative works are emotive, influenced by the classics, in which power, action or grace are often depicted.
Working between oil on canvas and my more experimental digital art platform, the ‘passion’ of creating drives me on.
In my studio in Offenham, I continue developing an eclectic body of work shown at premium art fairs, galleries, and various exhibitions.
I shall be present throughout Open Studios, exhibiting with my neighbour, Tor Hildyard, in her studio at Manor Cottage. I shall demonstrate my working process with oil on canvas.
