I am delighted to be showing my artwork alongside a small group of talented artisans at Snitterfield Studio this year.
Colour is an integral part of my work. Botanical subjects provide inspiration and infinite possibilities from my garden and beyond. Using watercolours enables me to make strong contrasts between light and dark, and my recent pieces show plants through a close-up lens, isolating them to capture their unseen intricate detail.
After a career as a knitwear designer, I was lucky enough to be able to turn my passion for watercolour into a full-time occupation. I tutor regular workshops for adults on all aspects of botanical art and regularly exhibit my paintings with the Society of Botanical Artists and the Birmingham Society of Botanical Artists.
