Oak Leaves Botanical Illustration Drawing in Coloured Pencil
Region:
Studley
Artform:
Digital art, Drawing, Painting

My art journey has been quite varied and started life 5 years ago when I started learning photography. I soon found that I was fascinated with the goings on in my garden and became a keen gardener and bird watcher.
In 2022 I joined the village arts and crafts group, Feckenham Artisans, and soon became inspired to do so much more than just photography which led me to explore different art forms, in the same areas of botanicals and birds.
My passion for botanicals and birds has never waivered and this is where I am at my happiest. I fell in love with using coloured pencils and now only use this medium in my work. It's ability to layer and blend, yet obtain the tiniest of details really keeps me passionate about drawing. I create all my work from either my own reference photographs or the live plant subject, often drawing in my garden. Come and find me working in my open studio, accessible to all.
