Sarah Smith originally trained as a designer/goldsmith and has participated in several WOS events over the years showing her jewellery.
Recently Sarah has developed an interest in photography and in using images in various mediums, in decorative and functional pieces.
This year, in addition to exhibiting a collection of precious metal and gemstone jewellery, she will be showing framed prints, one-off decorated glass coasters, printed coasters, tea towels and greetings cards.
Sarah makes delicate but exuberant jewellery, creating little tapestries of colour and texture using faceted gems, pearls, silver, gold vermeil or 18ct gold.
In her other work it is often small details from the natural world that are the inspiration for the work she produces.
Sarah is very pleased to be showing at Warwickshire Open Studios 2023 with Viv Hunt and Moira Lamont in Viv’s studio, situated in her beautiful garden in Harbury.
