It’s lovely to have such a perfect venue set in a romantic riverside garden where I can show my paintings. I’m told that that I “build” my art work; a legacy from my time as a fashion designer/maker perhaps. I try to create atmosphere and colour by using layers and texture and images emerge conjured from a particular way of looking at landscape, objects or buildings. My new work is inspired by heart rending images of the war in Ukraine which I felt compelled to try to capture as an emotional response. I would be really interested to talk about them and any other more of the more joyful pictures .
