'Sunflowers', painted in watercolour with printed sunflower leaves
Region:
Southam
Artform:
Painting

Sarah's work is inspired by nature and stories. At this exhibition, you will mostly see Sarah's unusual watercolours that include intriguing patterns and textures, created by adding other mediums and natural materials. Look carefully and you will see imprints of the original leaves and feathers that helped inspire her work!
Sarah will also bring some of her 'Fairy Tale & Folklore' artwork, originally painted in oils with other mediums, to the exhibition. Sarah finds the oldest versions of well-known stories and portrays them onto canvas, with hidden monsters, but beautified with thoughtful consideration to colour, light, and nature. The 'Fairy Tale & Folklore' series will keep you looking!
Teaching is a big part of Sarah's life; she teaches art weekly at Ladbroke Village Hall, demonstrates for groups, and loves delivering a workshop. At this exhibition, Sarah will be sharing her knowledge and skills with you through demonstrations at St James Church, Southam!
