Maddie’s unique and multi layered abstract expressionist paintings are evocative of the vibrant land, sea and sky scapes which inspire her. Originally from Scotland, Maddie grew up by the coast. Her childhood memories are of beach walks, foraging for treasures, playing in rock pools and exploring the wilds of the beautiful landscape. Travel plays a key role in Maddie’s practice and her paintings become a visual journey of these many wonderful experiences.
