Over the past year, being confined to a small space much of the time & unable to travel to the open spaces I love, I have enjoyed the observation of the local. I have created a series of vessels & garden installations representing the passage of time lived through small pleasures & dreams of open space.
I have been experimenting with new processes, pushing the limits of clay to create growth-like structures and using a combination of clay & cloth to evoke memories. The exhibition will include a series of porcelain & textile panels, new porcelain vases depicting gardens & garden hanging sculptures that interact with their surroundings & the creatures that inhabit them.
I will be exhibiting with three other artists, so lots of variety. You can visit my garden sanctuary safely by following a one-way route into the garden, through the studio/workshop. We will have tea and cakes so you can rest a moment in the garden and enjoy a bit of tranquillity.
