My love of nature and the countryside underpins much of my creativity. I predominantly work with real wool because it gives me a direct link to the natural world around me, it’s eco-friendly, sustainable and can be used in so many ways to varying effect.
Much of my work is done on a vintage, non-electric knitting machine, but I also knit, crochet and felt. Recently I've been experimenting with using plants and vegetables as natural wool dyes.
Most of the wool I use is from British sheep and I am an approved British Wool Artisan.
My exhibition space, based in an open stable block, will show finished items available for purchase and experimental work in progress. From raw fleece to finished product I will be delighted to welcome you to come and see how I work.
My studio is only a 10-minute walk from WOS artist Deborah Dutton. Come along and visit us both!
