Midsummer Queen, Lady of the woods series
Region:
Evesham & Offenham
Artform:
Textiles

Adrienne's work stems from her love of history, textiles and historical clothing. Combining both contemporary and traditional techniques alongside modern and period materials to create both costume and textile artworks. Continuing her body of work exploring and drawing inspiration from 16th century artists, bringing forgotten Tudor ladies and gentlemen back to life.

She is a member of Christine Benson's Calamanco textile art group. Calamanco recently exhibited at Hallow Church in Worcester and will be exhibiting as a group in September at the Weavers' Gallery in Ledbury.

Alongside her various Tudor gowns, a new gown will be on display that captures her pagan spirituality. Something close to her heart and will continue to be incorporated into her work going forward.

Combining her love of machine embroidery and sense of fun, she also creates various inspirational and fun wall art pieces, fairy houses, coasters, brooches, whimsical and fandom-based items etc for sale.
