I am President of the Royal Society of Marine Artists and Past President of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. I graduated from the Nottingham College of Art in graphics and printmaking.
Over the last twenty years I have become ever more drawn to the sea, sail and ships. I am inspired by classic yachts, working boats and sailing barges, encompassing sea-going craft of all shapes and sizes. 'If they are on the sea then they are inspirational'. As a marine painter my work is influenced by my time at sea, the light and the movement of the sea and how it effects sailing craft. My linocut prints are printed onto collages of textured papers. Because of my varied use of collages each print is in itself a one off original.
