I will be exhibiting in two locations this year. On the weekends of 18th and 19th June, I will be at 'Art on the Lawn' at Leamington Lawn Tennis and Squash Club on Guys Cliffe Road (Opening times 10am-6pm). On the weekends of 25th/26th June and 2nd/3rd July I will be exhibiting at my home, 19 Albany Terrace, Leamington Spa, CV32 5LP (Opening times 11am-6pm). Both locations have free on-street parking nearby.
I work in acrylics, aiming to capture the beauty of light reflecting off the landscape. I am drawn to scenes in which sunlight, shadows and perspective conspire to draw the viewer into the composition. I predominantly take my inspiration from urban and rural scenes in Warwickshire and trees feature in most of my scenes. I generally work from a plein air sketch and then develop the piece in the studio from source photographs to produce the necessary effect.
