Following a move to Dunchurch, I am very excited to announce that my new studio is now up and running, although there is still a lot to do! I am looking forward to a time, hopefully in the autumn, when I can welcome visitors to Open Studio days, exhibitions and small group classes and workshops. If you are interested in learning more about these events, there is a contact form on my website, https://www.janearcherart.co.uk/contact
Following Summer Art Weeks, on the weekend of 7th and 8th August, I shall be exhibiting at Leamington Art In The Park Festival. I am delighted that once again I will be one of a group of artists in one of two marquees hosted by Leamington Studio Artists.
I shall be adding further updates about autumn events later in the summer.
Following four years at Art College, and careers in fashion retail and teaching, I finally discovered watercolour painting about twelve years while living in France. I immediately responded to these slippery pigments, loving the way they move around the paper, pooling and granulating as they dry. I enjoy the challenge of trying to manipulate them and then rejoice in the happy accidents that arise.
I began to show my paintings at WOS in 2014 at St Gregory's in Offchurch. This year, for the first time, I am at a different venue. I look forward to welcoming you to Dunchurch!
