I have been a practising local painter and ceramic artist since 1993 when I was a founder member of the Island Studio in Rugby town centre. At the same time I worked on ceramics at home, until I joined the Pottery at Hatton Country World near Warwick for a time.
Now I am working in my purpose-built studio in Rugby and have become become immersed in mixed media, acrylic, intuitive painting, collage and some printmaking, especially gelli-printing and eco-printing. As always, I love colour, texture and pattern, and abstract and floral themes too.
I have exhibited many times with local art groups, and nationally. I have also held a major solo exhibition in Rugby, and have organised many group exhibitions, including the Community Space Exhibition held in the main gallery at Rugby Art Gallery & Museum.
My work can be seen at Fairs, Exhibitions and in Warwickshire Open Studio events, for which I have been Area Co-ordinator for Rugby.
Also in two books: 'The Potter's Guide to Ceramic Surfaces’ and 'Ceramics and Print', second edition and online
