Come along and enjoy a festive day creating unique Christmas cards for your friends and loved ones.
Rebecca paints using a gouache resist technique. Process and risk are really important to her and the method can give surprising results. Rebecca first paints in gouache and once it is dry sprays Indian Ink over the image. Once this layer has also dried, then washes the whole piece with slow running water, carefully brushing away the excess paint and ink. It sometimes feels more like developing a photograph than painting a picture. The gouache and the ink will stain the paper and leave a unique impression of the original work. Rebecca loves to expand on this technique by adding media such as gold leaf and using unusual tools for mark making.

All materials will be provided for use on the day.

Tea, coffee & biscuits will be supplied.

There will be a 15 minute break if you want to bring a packed lunch.
