Linocut workshop by Alix Almond

Learn how to make striking linocut images using a reduction process.

Suitable for beginners or those with some experience of linocut, you will learn how to make a limited edition multi-coloured and multi-layered image from the same print block.

Working with a professional artist is the best way to give you a head start with this wonderful medium and have you creating your own art work in no time.

You'll learn how to safely cut the 'Lino' to create your design and print your designs onto quality art paper.

Bring along your own images or ideas to use as inspiration or you can choose one of our designs to start you off.

Plus you will be able to take away techniques and methods to be able to create wonderful prints in your own home – no need for a printing press or expensive equipment – including learning the magic of printing with a spoon!

All equipment will be provided as well as plenty of tea coffee and cake to keep you printing, but please bring along some lunch with you.

You will get to keep your linocut and take home several printed images of your design.

You can book this workshop on the Sew Me Something website:
