Sara Huxley is a contemporary painter, based in Warwickshire, who creates mixed media paintings and has a particular passion for collage. Huxley skillfully weaves her fine art textiles background into her paintings, creating a tapestry of colours, textures, and patterns. Her works are a celebration of mixed media, utilising layers of acrylic paint, inks, graphite, and collage crafted from printed newspapers. The result is a rich visual experience that invites the viewer to explore the intricacies of each piece.
Huxley’s still life paintings are inspired by the conviviality of dinner parties and social gatherings finding her muse in the world of gastronomy. Recent paintings have explored new subject areas such as seascapes and gardens. Rich in colour and texture and offering a warm and layered view of the world.
