I am a landscape painter inspired by the beautiful countryside and trees and gardens around the village of Radway in Warwickshire, where I have lived for many years. I do numerous sketches and drawings outside in the summer months and then work them into oil paintings in the studio. I also explore and paint the landscapes of Cornwall (where I grew up) and the Peak District. The oil paintings are a little more abstract than the sketches and drawings done ‘en plein air’ but all of the work is an attempt to capture the spirit of these lovely places.
