Jane trained at West Surrey School of Art in Farnham (now The University for the Creative Arts). She welcomes visitors by appointment to her workshop near Stratford, and has occasional pop-up exhibitions. Her work is on permanent exhibition at the Gallery at the Guild in Chipping Campden. Nature is a continuing source of her inspiration, as is the alchemy of ceramic glazes. Her background as a lecturer in the history of ceramics is a touchstone. Ideas sometimes emerging unbidden.

Jane’s recent work focuses on form and balance – each vessel needing to achieve complete composure, elegance, and poise. Oval vessels invite holding to understand their weight and volume.

On a practical level, Jane wants to share her enjoyment of handmade pots. Tea bowls reward the washer-up with a surprise colour under the foot! Mug handles fit the hand with ease. Stoneware and porcelain pots are microwave and dishwasher safe. She believes that the beautiful things we use enrich our daily lives.
