A ceramic practitioner, designer, and maker based at Barby, a village that sits on the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire border. I try to show commitment to my work by not replicating any piece so the owner can be confident that the work is unique.
By using the initial techniques of slabbing & coiling in clay the subsequent impressed marks made on my work are created from found forms and objects from the seascape and landscape. Greenware is sometimes burnished. All work is internally stoneware glazed.
Clay is a limitless, wonderful, medium which gives me a visual voice, thus enabling me to have a creative canvas for my personal expressions and feelings. I try to visualise moments of emotion, and communicate this expression non-verbally in clay.
