Region: Warwick

Artform: Mosaic

During the 3-day event, you will see some of my exclusive mosaic pieces on display, including my first piece that I created at the Kur-ring-gai Art Centre in Australia. There will be an assortment of unique mosaic pieces on sale, from coasters, jars, trivets and trinkets, to murals, bottles and bowls.

Moora Moora is a native Australian name and means Good Spirit. Each of my pieces is one of its kind, 100% hand made with detail, dedication, and love. My inspiration can be the view outside my window, a rabbit in the meadow, patterns on traditional fabric, Indian motifs, and even my own imagination. Flowers and leaves are an important part of my creative expression and will make an appearance in almost all my pieces.

Creating mosaics transports me to a world of colours and patterns. I specialise in vitreous glass and only use a wheeled or a flat cutter to manually cut my tiles. Grouting the finished piece preserves the mosaics for millennia, a process I find deeply therapeutic.
