Born in Stratford-upon-Avon, Ros Ingram trained in ceramics and print at the Art and Design School of Wolverhampton University, teaching there after she graduated. Working from her studio in Alderminster, she creates bespoke assemblages combining brightly glazed porcelain with retro metallic consumables. Her long-running series, comprising shoals of fish, is a poignant environmental statement. Many of her sculptures also involve an interactive element, such as music boxes or spinning hand drills attached to raku-fired birds. Ros regularly undertakes commissions and runs adult workshops on a regular basis. She has exhibited worldwide, currently showing at a number of galleries in the Cotswolds, Cornwall, and Borkum, Germany. Ros also works as a visiting artist-in-residence, creating permanent ceramic installations and recycled art projects. One of her projects with younger children was on display at the National Gallery, London, as part of the 'Take One Picture' initiative.
