Exhibiting at Shakespeare Street Artists and where space allows, Penny will also be demonstrating how the ancient craft of felt is made and explaining this magical process. Inspired by the colour and texture within our natural world, she makes delightful homewares and wearable art to make you feel cherished. A felter and textile artist for 18 years, she uses a mixture of simple and advanced felting techniques to create textural flat and 3D pieces. She will have various fibres on display and will be able to explain how they all act slightly differently to achieve different effects.
