I am a professional artist specialising in animal art, a traditional subject but with a modern, colourful and contemporary spin on my style to create fun portraits. I like to create work that makes you smile! I enjoy painting different breeds of cattle, but welcome the challenge of painting any animal that catches my eye. Living on the borders of Oxfordshire and Warwickshire there are plenty of farm animals and wildlife right on the doorstep.
A rainbow of bright, bold, striking colours are my core palette. I also like to play with plain and patterned backgrounds and have been known to throw in a monochromatic style in complete contrast to my usually colourful work.
I reacquainted myself with my paint brushes in 2013, more than 20 years since my training at Banbury School of Art. Now I love nothing more than being creative in my garden studio. It’s a fab space; it stays cosy and warm in the winter and is glorious to throw the doors open in the spring to hear the birdsong.
