I paint exclusively in watercolour; it is a notoriously difficult medium, but I love its versatility, its fluidity, its vibrancy and its translucency. Generally I prefer painting in a more realistic style, but on occasions I will paint with a much freer hand. My skill level has undoubtedly improved over the last couple of years, as I am constantly pushing myself to tackle more difficult images and my students too keep me on my toes by insisting on painting subjects of their choice. Those who are familiar with my work know that I am particularly fond of painting seascapes and waterscapes. I have had several exhibitions over the last two years and have paintings on permanent display at the Farmers Fayre Farm Shop and Café in Stoneleigh. In 2023 I hope to find a venue to run some more regular workshops on top of my already regular one-to-one/face-to-face and Zoom lessons.
