John Lister spent almost 40 years as a journalist specialising in the NHS. But he completed a 3-year Adult Education course in acrylic painting in summer 2022, and exhibited with others from the class in the Warwickshire Open Studios art weeks, under the collective title of Artful Leamings.
12 months later, others from the group have gone in different directions, but John is back - with new and more varied work, using oils as well as acrylics, featuring land and seascapes, but also photographs gleaming with the colours and movement of water in Cornish rockpools.
On display will be cards, posters, original paintings and prints including vibrant photographs on aluminium.
