Ceramics

I look forward to Arts Weeks each year. As a maker, I value the comments of our visitors. I love sharing with Rebecca Small's basket weaving, which makes a varied experience.

The exhibition begins in my workshop with pots in various stages of production. You may find me at the wheel, wedging clay or glazing the wares. I make all my own glazes. My pots are designed for serving food and drink in a contemporary setting. I also make one-off studio pieces.

I graduated in Three Dimensional Design (Ceramics) from the West Surrey College of Art, Farnham (now the University for the Creative Arts) where I later taught, including the history of ceramics. Balancing the form of each pot is at the centre of my endeavour. Forms and glazes develop as I work, which touch on the ceramics of the past and I aim to bring to my work some of the optimism and beauty of the natural world.

Enjoy our lovely garden. Tea, coffee and cake are available in aid of Blood Cancer UK.
