A scientist by training and an artist by nature, Anna uses her biological knowledge to explore the form and function of the natural world around us. She works in a variety of media, exploring different themes: most recently working with acrylic ink and 23ct gold leaf to document her impressive animal skull collection, challenging our ideas of beauty and portraiture. A variety of framed and unframed work will be available for sale: natural history portraits, life drawing, still life painting, abstract art and animal studies. Anna’s methods can be quite experimental - her studio can often resemble a science lab! There is always something different to see. She will have a selection of her smaller installation and experimental work on display.
Anna will be exhibiting with Sue Calcutt (raku sculpture) and her studio is only 50m from artists exhibiting with Alice Shepherd Ceramics – making Ditchford Farm studios an art lovers' destination.
