Original acrylic and oil land and seascape paintings. My work is influenced by the beauty and diversity of the wonderful British landscape, especially the places I visit. The drama and beauty of the Dorset and Cornish coasts are a particular favourite. I fill my camera with images to use as inspiration to express my passion for the great outdoors into my passion for painting. Creating the energy, mood and emotion in my art is what's important to me. This is why my preferred medium is acrylic, as it allows the building of thick or thin layers of paint, the use of a variety of tools such as rags, spatulas and palette knifes to apply and manipulate the paint, as well as being able to add texture with sand or pastes to bring depth and interest to the painting.
