This year Sarah is delighted to join a collective of eleven artists at Newbold House – a fabulous venue with gorgeous views of the Warwickshire countryside.
Sarah is a Master's graduate from the Birmingham School of Art who, as a young artist, began her creative career as a prop maker for The Royal Shakespeare Company.
The series of work for which she is best known is entitled 'Into The Light' and draws on her exploration into energy, humanity and healing. She uses the spontaneous and unique mark making techniques of watercolour monotype, with the precise and deliberate application of gold leaf to accomplish a tension between the perfect and imperfect.
She strives to create energy in the work, composing the pieces so that they respond to the changing light in a space and move beyond the essence of two dimensions.
