Originally from New Zealand, currently based in Stratford, I weave baskets with locally grown New Zealand flax (Phormium tenax) using traditional Maori weaving techniques which I learned under the tutelage of Maori Master weaver Veranoa Hetet.

My baskets range from intricately woven, patterned carrying baskets using NZ flax, which I prepare and dye by hand, to more rustic natural baskets which make useful and beautiful items for the home.

I look forward to sharing my passion for Maori weaving with you and will be available to demonstrate my weaving (on request) on weekends during Summer Art Weeks.
