I am fine art trained in painting and mixed media and take inspiration from my local surroundings. I graduated from the Birmingham Institute of Art and Design and following a career in education, I started selling art and exhibiting in 2019 following a move from Birmingham to Pebworth.
I began to develop my art into a business in 2020, working out of my converted stable studio. I run workshops at Bonds Lifestyle Stratford, give private teaching sessions in my studio and teach classes locally. In the past year I have taken part in Art in the Park Leamington, Discover Gather Give Contemporary Arts Fair in Stratford, Warwickshire Open Studios and Parabola Arts Centre Cheltenham and have exhibited as part of Broadway Arts Festival.
I paint using gouache resist technique which I combine with mixed media to create my own process. I work on wood panel, canvas and different papers to see how the process responds to different surfaces. Experimentation and learning are key to my enjoyment.
