Inspired by my passion for geography, landscapes, plants and travels to so many beautiful wild places on this earth, my ceramics are elemental, tactile and textured. My pieces interpret the feel and essence of places I have visited. I also use plants imprinted onto surfaces to bring them alive in clay. I hand build, rip, tear and carve my pots before decorating with slips, oxides and beautiful high colour glazes. They are bold and impactful; I love colour and texture. You'll want to pick them up and feel them, so take a trip to our peaceful studio in Snitterfield and see for yourself.
I'll be exhibiting in a unique setting – an inviting contemporary home in a quintessential Warwickshire village with Ian Spiers, a leather worker who will be demonstrating his skills, and Lucinda Batchelor, a fabulous photographer of the natural world. We'll be here to talk about our work over refreshments, and offer demonstrations of leatherwork.
