An exhibition of work produced by two Warwick-based artists, who work in very different media but with a common enthusiasm for creativity.
Mandy is a tapestry weaver. Working mainly in fine cotton and wool on a small weaving frame, she seeks to explore the relationship between light and colour and record the "here and now" detail of domestic life. The other strand to her work is portraiture, reflecting her lifelong fascination with people and their inner worlds.
Kate mainly works in watercolour and her enjoyment of her art comes from the spontaneity of the process. She says, "It's just about putting the paint on the paper......!" The subject matter for her paintings comes from observing the natural world. Her other interest is life drawing, which she studied at college in the 1980s and which still inspires her today.
This is their first exhibition and they look forward to welcoming you!
