I create and carved and printed lino prints.
The process is involved, but I like the fact that there is a physical connection to each step. After using a variety of lino type blocks I have come to use traditional lino for my print making; this has the advantage of being environmentally friendly and I like the sharpness of the prints it produces. It is however more difficult to look after.
I intend to show the processes involved during my Open Studio by either carving or printing during my open times. This way visitors can see the steps and tools used to make a lino print.
I will have prints and cards available to purchase.
I will also have some earrings that I make from recycled cake and biscuit tins available.
