I have been working with wood throughout my life. Over the years this has taken many twists and turns, but my focus today is woodturning. Having decided to retire early it took me no time at all to reawaken my earlier passions.
I have a small garden workshop that was created out of two pig sties. My primary focus these days is woodturning, although I do continue to take furniture commissions.
I strive to combine clean, simple and elegant designs into well-crafted pieces that would grace the modern home. I try to avoid unnecessary embellishment and rely on pure form to create crisp, elegant and functional objects. I hope that these items will endure and give their owners many years of use and pleasure.
I constantly look for inspiration in the world around me but aim to maintain originality in my work.
The materials that I use are either from sustainable sources or have been obtained by recycling.
