It is my pleasure to welcome you once more to my home gallery, where I will guide you through my work and share their stories.
I am drawn to the landscape and make photographs that are both black & white or gently toned. Both schemes enable me to convey a sense of space and stillness that can evoke an emotional connection within the viewer. My intention is to create a visual serenity through my images.
Whilst I do photograph the local area, my photographs are more about the deeper parallels drawn between us and nature.
I have also enjoyed photographing historical buildings, particularly ruins both locally and further afield. When we look at a ruin, such as Kenilworth Castle, we are invited to reflect on the stories the building may hold.
The photographic image is a powerful medium for contemplation and imagination, encouraging us to see the world differently.
