Fiona is determined to try to skilfully make something that’s beautiful and one of a kind. So, she creates art pieces suggested by the grain of the wood itself, the landscapes she loves or simply weaves the beauty of timber into her designs. Working with solid, native or rescued timbers, Fiona fashions intricate pierced images that emerge over many hours of cutting by hand with a scrollsaw or delicate hand carving. Her work can include small carved jewellery pieces, silhouettes, landscapes or layered wooden filigree pictures.
This year, as part of the Art in Dunchurch group, Fiona is delighted to be showing her work along with 16 other artists in and around Inglenook – a lovely garden setting with ample refreshments available.
