I am a multidisciplinary artist, currently exploring 'Land Art Photography' – an intriguing artform. A smartphone camera is the vehicle I am using to capture Land Art that is either made or found. Natural materials of the earth are gathered, be it dried leaves, grasses or germinating seeds; these are woven together to create Land Art. Alternatively, simply finding beauty already portrayed in nature, this is then, through different compositional tools, photographed and then edited in Instagram before sharing with a community of other land artists, as stills or videos and printed for exhibiting.
Inspiration for this exhibition, 'Journey through the Seasons', comes from 'The Book of Nature', found walking and taking time in nature to discover hidden and often unseen beauty that reflects both the natural world, the landscape of the soul, and how the inner and outer world mirror and interact with each other. Why not take an opportunity to see through a different lens?
