Hello. I'm Claire and I melt glass – both sheets of glass that I cut up and fuse together in a kiln, and rods of glass that I melt in a flame to produce beads. I have a workshop with kilns in my garden, which is my happy place.
I fell in love with glass in 2016 and I have been gently obsessed ever since. It is such a versatile, tactile medium: I would love to share my joy with people.
Careless Rapture Glass was born in 2019 so I'm still trying to find my style, but in the process I have been lucky enough to make all sorts of bright and cheerful glass art.
