Cassie Leedham is a painter and illustrator who aims to capture human experience. Her work is emotional and challenging, sometimes confronting, but always explores the vulnerability of being human and the things that connect us. She mainly works in oils, but also paints digitally and uses a variety of media to create her work.
Trained as a graphic designer, she began painting during the first lockdown, shortly after the birth of her second child. She quickly started to document her own experiences on the canvas, resulting in a collection of portraits exploring motherhood during lockdown that was exhibited at Temperance, in her first solo exhibition.
