I'll be exhibiting and working from my newly converted stable studio at my home in Pebworth near Stratford-upon-Avon. My work is inspired by my surroundings here on the edge of the Cotswolds and the changes I've seen on my daily walks, from season to season and through the changing light of the day.
I work mainly in gouache resist technique: a process of painting in gouache and covering the work in a fine-sprayed layer of Indian ink before washing excess ink and paint away. I take a scan of the work after each stage, so for every finished piece there are at least two printed versions of the work in progress.
I work in more than one style and have many fine ink drawings of animals and commission examples on display alongside my paintings.
There will be a wide range of original works on show as well as prints and cards. I'll be demonstrating my process throughout the Art Weeks and you are most welcome to watch or have a go. A warm welcome awaits.
