I make silver jewellery by hand from scratch and using cast elements made for me from natural pieces I have found. My inspiration is often nature, its shapes, patterns and textures. I am easily distracted by the shapes left behind when I've sawn something from a sheet of silver and the leftovers become pieces in their own right. The tiniest scraps are melted into silver balls and there is no waste – every bit of silver can be used.
I have a small space at home for a working bench and a studio space at Grid Studios, which hosts around 20 artists.
It is lovely to be exhibiting in the park where much of my inspiration comes from! I'm hosted by Hatty Bakewell's cafe https://www.instagram.com/hattybakewells/ (sit in or takeaway as Covid permits). I will be there 11-2 Tuesday-Sunday, weather permitting, working outside with my tools and bench. My work will be visible while the cafe's open, even if I'm not there, but do get in touch or check my Instagram to be sure of catching me.
