Caroline grew up on a farm in the Cotswolds, where she developed a deep love of nature and the subtle shapes and curves of living things. She is endlessly fascinated by the way thought, feelings and instinct are expressed externally.
She works in clay because it feels right under her hands, which want to build up shapes and textures rather than to carve away. She loves the rhythms and processes of working with clay, and the freedom it gives to choose the final material.
Caroline is a member of the Oxford Sculptors Group, and of the Gallery at the Guild co-operative in Chipping Campden. Her works are in private collections in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Switzerland, the Republic of Ireland and the USA, as well as throughout the UK.
She is exhibiting this year in a working studio belonging to Anna Pike, painter and mixed media artist.
