Not everybody knows that there is an alternative entrance to the Pump Room Gardens: the boardwalk behind the Pump Rooms building in which Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum is located. This hidden passage is an oasis for nature and wildlife and offers views of the river Leam, the Loft Theatre and Spencer's Yard. To draw attention to this not well known side of Leamington Spa artist Tammy Woodrow has come up with the Boardwalk Project. The idea behind this project was to connect the outside with the inside. She created new works in response to Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum's collections which were installed on the boardwalk to create a mini trail. These site specific outdoor sculptures are interactive. This exciting project combines nature, art and history. A Friday Focus lunchtime presentation about this installation will take place on Friday 16 June, 1pm at Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum.
