June Ridgway

Region:
Warwick
Artform:
Ceramics

I am a ceramic artist trained at Wolverhampton and Birmingham. After several years part time teaching now work from home in small cellar studio.
My inspiration comes from archaeological, ancient and primitive pottery as well as weathered materials such as metal and wood; anything exposed to the elements forming rich patinas. Drawing is now enriching my work particularly life drawing which forms a regular part of my week.
Currently a member of both the Midlands and Northern Potters Associations and an Associate member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists.
