I was born and brought up in London, and moved to Rugby in 2014. Dreaming of a careeer in art, I won several art prizes at school, passed A level art and did a course at Hornsey College of Art. However, a career in languages and finance took precedence, and I went to live in Switzerland and Italy before returning home. I eventually retired from work to raise my family, and at the same time became involved in tourism and charity and voluntary work embracing culture, health, nutrition and the environment. Finally, in 2005, on a world cruise, I rediscovered my old dream, and found that I could capture in watercolour some of the breathtaking sights, sunsets and seas, mountains and trees, light and shade, that had caught my keen eye. I have since travelled on cruises all over the world, and am happiest when painting in the peace and quiet of my cabin, portraying the wonderful scenes I have witnessed from faraway places. My paintings and giclee prints are very reasonably priced.
