Cliff has always been creative, restoring and redeeming old forgotten discarded stuff, loving to play seriously, be on the edge and trying to make sense of experience
He started painting and drawing following loss in 2004 and took to painting because it was difficult and demanding a focus. The early work was very much about loss of identity and travelling with diminished light/starting again. Reworking the age-old questions we all face.Who are we? What are we doing here? The current work now has a renewed focus humour and a reinvigorated identity and this is foretold in the early work but is now being realised.
This exhibition is organised by Barn Arts and includes a variety of exciting work by other artists. Cards, books and refreshments available. A good place to relax, enjoy art and recharge one's battery.
A "Music Cafe" featuring some of the artist and other talented performers will be held on Saturday 1st July 7pm for a 7.30 start. Come and enjoy art music and poetry.
