Unfortunately due to the circumstances , all my exhibitions I had planned have been cancelled. These include Worcester Cathedral in May 2020, Warwickshire Open Studio at Ettington Church in June and Woodbridge Gallery Birmingham in November. However my work on my website has been well received, with a few sales.
I trained at Brighton school of Art, Warwick University and Staffordshire university where I completed a post graduate degree in the History of Ceramics. I was a lecturer in ceramics at the North East Worcestershire College for many years . At present I divide my time between my studio practice and working for City and Guilds as External Quality Assurer. I have several colleges and prisons in my portfolio. My inspiration comes from the landscapes of many countries I have visited over the years. I interpret the colours and textures of landscapes on the pots using glazes pained on. I try and create 3D painting on the ceramics I make. The whole process is labour intensive and the results unpredictable, which keeps me going.
