Lizzie has work in The Campden Gallery Winter Exhibition Jan 18th to Feb 9 2020 and also at the Chipping Norton Theatre Gallery from Feb 10th to March 9th.
Lizzie studied at the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art and then was taught by David Woodcock who was the first to introduce her to the work of Euan Uglow and to the idea of building up a painting with patches of colour. After spending some time in the Film Industry she attended Oil Painting Studio Practice in Kew with Jason Bowyer.
Lizzie finds the everyday objects of family life inspire her paintings. A plate of biscuits, a piece of cake, a flower in the garden or a mouse that the cat has brought in. These objects are transformed into something magical as she paints with Oil, vigorously building up a painting with related patches of colour to make a rich and resonant image jam packed with colour and meaning.
Lizzie holds classes and workshops for oil painting in Binton, Warwickshire. For more information on workshops and classes please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
